The Challenge
While demand for Cariocca’s office space was strong, the high cost and lengthy installation processes associated with traditional internet agreements were becoming a barrier to maximising tenant occupancy. Prospective tenants often faced delays in getting connected, creating friction at the start of tenancy agreements and impacting overall efficiency.
Cariocca needed a solution that would simplify connectivity, reduce costs and improve the tenant experience - without compromising performance or flexibility.
The Solution
A new connectivity model was introduced that enabled tenants to access super-fast internet connections instantly from the start date of their tenancy. The solution delivered high-performance connectivity at a lower cost than mainstream providers, removing delays and simplifying onboarding for new tenants.
The platform was then expanded into a standalone revenue stream by offering additional services, including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephony and call answering. The entire project—from solution design through to installation—was managed end-to-end, with coordination across third parties and use of the BDUK Voucher Scheme to keep costs within budget.
The Results
Cariocca now offers faster, more reliable and more cost-effective connectivity as part of its tenant experience. What was once a barrier to occupancy has been transformed into a value-adding service and a new source of revenue.
